I quite like all of this. Contrary to what I had thought, it is radical … and I like being radical.

Radicality and … simplicity (of it all boiling down to imitating the PCEs), to which end I’ll put a pin on that simplicity:

I had yet another realization yesterday which slightly changed my tracks from feeling good per se: since it is impractical to be allowing PCEs all the time for practical reasons, I asked myself: so what can I do during the times ‘in between’? Well, imitate them affectively to the best of my ability, of course. Which means enjoy & appreciate being here right now. The part I’ve bolded is the key; it is, after all, what’s evident in the PCE (the stillness of this eternal moment with no ‘outside’), which one immitates as a feeling-being.

What originally prompted me to fully consider all this [prioritizing being happy and harmless] was your saying that “[I] can only experience this “genuinely occurring stream of benevolence and benignity” when in [my] daily life [I am] as benevolent and benign as a feeling being can be – because that “genuinely occurring stream” is always outside of ‘me’” (link); that’s what made the reliable ‘connection’ in intent, so to speak, between my own PCEs and how I genuinely want to experience each and every moment.

I finally realized the benefit of not being so self-obsessed, and this only came from my contemplation of PCE. In allowing PCEs (link), the focus is rather sensate and on the world at large. In other words, not on ‘me’ at all (link). Ergo, the same applies in regards to interactions with people; being ‘self’-obsessed or ‘self’-focused (thus serious) is rather painful, whereas taking note of and delighting in the world of people, things and events (which naturally includes taking interest in others) is what transpires naturally as I seek to evince the PCE now. It solves all problems. And I get to find out things about other people, they seem to enjoy it … overall a pleasant state of affairs. No moral forcing is necessary.

RICHARD: Start with where one is at now (where one is not yet at will emerge of its own accord as one proceeds): as you say ‘I don’t care about doing it for everybody’ – implying that ‘I’ only care about doing it for ‘me’ – then that is where ‘I’ am at now.

Do ‘I’ feel the feeling of caring about doing it for ‘me’ or not?

RICHARD: Indeed not – in this context love and compassion lead to ‘self’-surrender not ‘self’-sacrifice – whereas benevolence is the key to altruistic ‘self’-immolation for the benefit of this body and that body and every body.
