A little thing that @Sonyaxx inspired that may seem small but was huge to me; she loves food and will try anything. I’m squeamish about certain things (shrimp heads, crab innards, tripe etc). For some reason just the proximity to Sonya made me completely disregard all that and I found myself sucking on shrimp heads and eating (almost 
) whatever landed on my plate throughout the week.
Looking back, I think she facilitated a lot more daring than that, especially the last couple of days. It was the small things that I picked up on and went ”huh, why do I do it the other way?”.
Having Sonya there made everything so much easier. She has an adorable open vibe that made everything fun.
I’d just like to add in defence of myself that I was actually listening to what Geoffrey was saying, too; I didn’t spend a whole week just staring at him googly-eyed. 
(But I was extremely fascinated once he was demonstrating something to me and gently pointed at his shoulder and I understood immediately what he meant.)
