This “clueless plumber” reminds me of Vineeto talking about taking conversations at face value instead of getting sucked and entangled into another’s psychic web trying to intuitively figure out stuff

This is interesting @jesus.carlos I remember noticing this trend of looking for ‘deeper feelings’ but to what extent is this search fabricated?

E.g I remember watching this dating show where the contestants are not allowed sexual contact with each other and instead they were being educated by the relationship experts on how to find out the ‘deeper feelings’ when it comes to relating. Which of course became a search for romantic love, connection etc

Those feelings are only deeper because of the collective beliefs, in fact though the contestants weren’t going deeper as such but rather fabricating a world and then attempting to live in it.

This meme reminds me of Richard’s quote below :

Richard : The physical world cannot ever be perfect, in the sense that nothing uncomfortable would happen, due to the finite nature of all spatial/temporal things – animal, vegetable and mineral – and events happen which some people welcome but others not (a farmer may want rain to germinate the crop whilst a builder may want clear skies to get the roof on). I cannot consider for a moment that people would want a nearby volcano to explode and engulf their village or town or city … yet it happens. And there are the trivial matters of daily life – I spilt hot coffee only a couple of days ago – yet in the final analysis none of these events matter. Ultimately nothing is of utter importance because we are all going to die, some day.
Things are only as important as one makes them be

Also is funny cause if the things in that video are the worst that happens, even so it’s still a wonderful life without much conflict at all lol. All minor annoyances !

And now I’m able to laugh at these minor annoyances, so this was the benevolent plan of the universe behind these annoyances

Excellent quote @Shashank

I’m going to isolate a portion of that quote you provided and then pair it alongside another quote of Richard’s to provide the interested actualist a basis for deeper contemplation on the nature (and wondrous mystery) of perfection vs. imperfection in relation to infinitude vs. finitude.

Richard (1998): The universe, being infinite and eternal, is already always perfect. . . . that which has no beginning or end is perfect.
Mailing List 'B' Respondent No. 28

If that which has no beginning or end is perfect, then that which has beginning or end is imperfect.

Richard (1999): The physical world cannot ever be perfect . . . due to the finite nature of all spatial/temporal things.
Mailing List 'AF' Respondent No. 7

That which is finite cannot ever be perfect. Only that which has no beginning or end can be perfect.

We finite entities – indeed, all finite entities and objects – that begin here and end there, are by nature imperfect. Perfection only lies in that which does not begin or end anywhere.

Edit: And a meme to keep it topical (infinity = perfection)

This is in that murky area for me where I can’t tell if the original post is satire or real :upside_down_face:

It’s a real thing. Apparently.
Imagine bush walking and turning the corner…

Yeah it’s murky. I think the feller in the photo is doing it in earnest, but anyone could’ve gotten his photo and made a silly narration. Still, anything possible with this New Age movement that just doesn’t seem to ever end. I mean, it’s been the New Age for like 50 years. When will it stop, Jesus?
