You are very welcome and I am pleased to read that “this insight has taken the legs out from underneath ‘me’”. It was obviously so engrained and inveterate that only a ‘thunderbolt’ insight allowed you to finally recognize it.
What was the action which was “the only response possible”?

It seems that your connection to pure intent, after perhaps having been relegated to mere lip-service through a period of obfuscation and prevarication is now fully alive again, and you can focus on the relevant question of what is preventing ‘me’ from agreeing to ‘my’ abdication.
