Ok bub, I can’t ignore it. There is still an elephant in my room.

Ok bub, I can’t ignore it. There is still an elephant in my room.

Well at least you have the perspicacity to see it for what it is!

What is the elephant?

The elephant is I am not actually free.

I think part of the problem with the worldview that @bub is suggesting is that it is based on the old master/disciple structure. Which is readily demonstrated by his insistence on delineating and segregating the ‘founders of the method’ from its ‘followers’ as if we are not all fellow human beings.

In this worldview ‘I’ as the follower can apply the teachings of the master and wait to be rewarded for ‘my’ blind faith and trust. Of course when things don’t work out ‘I’ can either blame ‘myself’ for not being good enough or blame the master/his teachings.

If you can look outside of this system and see that in actualism each one is their own pioneer. This is because no-one can make another actually free. There are simply fellow human beings who have discovered that it is possible and other fellow human beings who can discover the same for themselves.

If ‘I’ have expectations from the actualism method, that only if ‘I’ “play by the book” ‘I’ should be rewarded with actual freedom, then ‘I’ am still stuck in the old way.

Let’s remember that when Richard devised the method the success rate was indeed 0% and yet he was a fellow human being that proceeded anyways.

This complaining of no success is almost as if people think that Richard or Vineeto are trying to sell us the method. Like we have handed over our money (loyalty) and now we are expecting a good product in return

And this could not be further from the facts.

Hi @Kuba,

Kuba: I think part of the problem with the worldview that @bub is suggesting is that it is based on the old master/disciple structure. Which is readily demonstrated by his insistence on delineating and segregating the ‘founders of the method’ from its ‘followers’ as if we are not all fellow human beings.

This is excellent! Thank you for the great insight, I hadn’t thought of it that way.
I found a short exchange between Richard and Jonathan from years back where what has just happened here with Bub is playing out the same way -

JONATHAN: It is obvious to more than one or two or even three what you are pulling here. All words no substance. You can’t live it and neither can anyone else. It is scary that someone can completely loose the capacity to admit error. Good day Sir.

RICHARD: And thus – by granting yourself that oh-so-convenient way out (‘and neither can anyone else’) – does all the anguish and animosity which epitomises the human condition go on unabated.

Ah well … c’est la vie, I guess. (Richard, AF List, Jonathan-a, 3 Jun 2006)

Cheers Vineeto

I learned from Richard to deal with the fact and you helped me to emphasize the fact. I am not complaining. I am simply stating the fact of where I am and deal with that.
You and Vineeto have added to what I actually said.

Yes perhaps there was a better word to choose other than “complaining” but I was just pointing to this general trend I have observed, which I found quite funny!

What? You haven’t given all your money to @Vineeto ? How stingy!
